About me

Hello. My name is Frances Walker. I'm a recent college graduate advocating in the sustainable menstruation space and currently conducting research in India.

I graduated from Princeton University in the spring of 2022 with a B.A. in Anthropology, and minors in Global Health and Health Policy; Gender, Sex, and Sexuality; and African American Studies. Since then, I have pursued fellowships in research and service related to a topic I find to be of extreme importance- menstrual health, particularly sustainable menstruation practices. I have been working with companies, non-governmental organizations, and communities throughout India to understand how Indian populations view sustainable menstrual products. These products are anything from cloth pads and cotton tampons to menstrual cups and biodegradable pads.

I am currently conducting menstrual research as a Fulbright-Nehru Study Fellowship. I am currently based in Delhi.

When I'm not discussing sustainable menstruation practices and their benefits, I can be found taking long hikes through the mountains, taking photos, or playing in a rugby match.
